My great grandfather, Francisco Lainfiesta immigrated from Spain to Guatemala. His son, Francisco Lainfiesta was a famous author and a candidate for President of Guatemala and traveled in 1879 as ambassador to Washington D.C. Among my long list of close relatives are: Alejandro Marure, noted writer and historian; Rodolfo Robles, famous scientist; Elisa de Stahl, Nobel medal candidate; Marta Lainfiesta my aunt and wife of Jorge Ubico, an infamous dictator, Tula Lainfiesta, authoress. I share this wealth of history and culture with you.
