Mukiwa
English Literature, Essay writing and Comprehension.. IB and AP Eng, Lit. expertBorn and raised in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia), I lived in London and Switzerland before immigrating to Canada in 1978. My last 17 years have been spent teaching at international schools around the globe. These international schools are part of a a web of schools around the world who teach English speaking students as preparation for British and American universities. My travels, as well as my international teaching experience with students from all corners of the globe, have given me a wider perspective and enable me to adapt with relative ease to students from all backgrounds.
Over the years I have developed a teaching philosophy that aims for academic excellence, while keeping the needs and development of the individual student as a priority.
My first teaching position was in a private Canadian school for eight years. Following the completion of my graduate degree, I taught at international School for ex-pat students in Tokyo, Kuwait, Chile and Romania. In these schools I taught both AP Literature and Composition and IB A1 Literature. I am an Examiner with the IBO.
