I am a student of marine vertebrate zoology at Bangor University. I am a hard working and enthusiastic person and believe everyone is capable of achieving their goals with a little help. I had a tutor myself through GCSE and A levels and without that help I wouldn't be where I am today. I now want to help others achieve as my way of giving back.
I completed both a mentoring program and leadership training whilst at secondary school. These qualifications mean that I am able to approach this role with suitable knowledge enabling me to help each individual student at a level that is best for them.I volunteered in lower years classes throughout secondary school to help assist the teacher in explaining information in a different way and to help answer any questions and queries the students may have had. I found this to be a very rewarding role, especially when students came up and informed me they had managed to achieve their desired grade.I believe that with learning there is no set way to do it. Every individual will learn better by doing different activities. I ensure that I work out a learning style that best suits the individual. I also like to make fun resources such as quizzes, crosswords and puzzles to make the learning experience as fun as possible.
