Expert and Experienced Physics and Calculus Tutor

I have been providing students with patient, responsive, and insightful math, science, and test prep tutoring for over 14 years. I have over 20 years of teaching experience with a focus on conceptual clarity and individual and small group teaching. I have excellent communication skills, good rapport with students, excellent personal test scores, and a solid record of student success.

My work experience includes tutoring for a highly selective Manhattan agency where I revised SAT Math teaching materials and was asked to train new tutor recruits.

Other qualifications include a perfect score (200/200) on the ETS Praxis II Mathematics Content Knowledge teacher exam. Many states, including Connecticut, require this exam. It is worth noting that, according to official ETS statistics, typically 75% of math teacher candidates who take the exam score 160 or less on a scale that runs from 100 (lowest possible score) to 200 points. Translating that to a more familiar 0 to 100 point scale, 75% of prospective math teachers score 60 or less on a test in which this tutor scored 100. Help from a tutor with full content mastery can make a big difference.

A goal in all tutoring is to impart mathematical and scientific insight and reasoning skill that will continue to serve the student in college and beyond. It is the path to true confidence and peak performance.
