In 2011, Mackenzie, her sister Maddie, and their mother Melissa Gisoni were cast on LifeTime’s hit reality TV series “Dance Moms”, which allowed Mackenzie to grow as an artist and pursue other passions such as acting and singing.
In 2014, Mackenzie released her debut album which soared to #1 on the iTunes pop chart list, #7 on the overall album charts, and her music video for the song “It’s A Girl Party” reached #1 in the US, UK and Australia. Radio Disney listeners can hear her catchy single “I Gotta Dance” as well as watch its music video on her YouTube channel which has over 92 million hits and growing. Mackenzie recorded and starred in “Freaks Like Me” by Todrick Hall and later that year, her Christmas single, “Christmas All Year Long” was premiered exclusively by Billboard and made its way to the iTunes top charts.
2016 was a fantastic year for Mackenzie as she guest starred on Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for her social media as Choice Muser, was the face of Clean & Clear‘s Fall back-to-school campaign (with Maddie) and starred in Ralph Lauren’s Kids Spring and Fall/Winter campaigns.
Being a fan favorite on Instagram and Musical.ly, Mackenzie has drawn in over 10 million followers collectively on both platforms.
