I am a native Italian speaker in my final year of a BA (HONS) English Language degree at the University of Manchester. I enjoy enabling communication, supporting learning and I enjoy working with children. I have excellent time management and organisational skills and maintain a level of professionalism in everything I do. I am also working as an interpreter for DA languages, Capita and Language Empire. MY APPROACH to teaching is depending on your purposes, as well as your level and age. As I define myself a learner, I deeply believe that learning, and especially learning a language, requires lot of work and commitment, perseverance and resolution, but also, importantly, it must be enjoyable and fun. What I do when teaching is mainly listening to my students practicing. Interacting only when it is necessary, (this is of course depending on the student's level). Learning a language is not only learning the rules of a language, but knowing how to apply them. This is why I try to engage my students in participating in the lesson as much as possible. Learning a foreign language in your own country is different than living in the country of the language in question, therefore to me it is very important observing and guiding my students through their activities, in order to appreciate each students' progression and thus be able to facilitate their requirements more attentively.
