I'm new to tutoring but please don't let that put you off! I can connect with your child and come up with ways to teach specific to each individual child. Although I have no formal training in education, I've been told that I'm a very good teacher and I love to teach. One of my goals in life is to improve everyone's life, and I find that one of the easiest ways to do that is to teach, whether that be a specific subject, or simply a life skill. Learning is so important, but I feel that it often falls by the wayside in favor of rote memorization. My goal is to teach your child how to learn. Learning is my passion. Because your child sees how much I care, they will start to care.
My qualifications can't really be put down on paper, but I did receive a 32 on the ACT, with a 36 on the reading section. I've always thrived in English classes, taking every Honors and AP class I could, and snagging a spot in a 400 level English class in college with no other English classes under my belt. I received a 4 on the AP English test while coughing violently and being threatened with removal from the room if I didn't stop coughing. If I don't know how to do something your child needs to learn, I can quickly figure it out. I'm adaptable and I've taught myself how to do many things over the years. My goal is to make sure your child survives, and thrives!
