Naspiano
Experienced Piano and Singing Teacher would like online students.Hello. My name is Neil Sharpe and I am British. I studied at the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland and gained a BA in Piano Music Performance and a Diploma in Opera Studies and Piano Accompaniment. After college I worked at Scottish Opera as the Music Director of the Education department and had the privilege of meeting Leonard Bernstein while I was there. In 1989 I moved to Japan and worked as a freelance accompanist and ensemble player. In 1997 I moved back to the UK and was employed as a piano teacher and the official accompanist at the Milton Keynes Music Service. In 2007 I was offered a five year contract to teach piano and chamber music at the Showa Academy Of Music near Tokyo, Japan. In 2012 my piano student came top in the graduation exams. I have also been a judge at various piano competitions in Japan.
After that I decided to fulfill my lifelong dream and came to Hungary to do some private research into the music of Liszt and Bartok and this is what I am doing at the moment.
Kindest regards, Neil Sharpe.
