Hi, my name is Ruby and I am in my mid 20's. I have a degree in Psychology from University of California, San Diego. I was an honor student in college, high school and I was in the top 10% of my high school graduating class. I attended AP and honors classes, and I was always praised for being a hard working student as far back as elementary school. I was not always good at English writing, comprehension and vocabulary but with work and determination, I improved. I was required to take a remedial writing class during my first quarter at UCSD and I was given three chances to pass the class and the exam or else I would have had to no longer attend the school. Luckily for me, after all the hard work, I was able to pass both the class and the exam after only the first quarter. Although I did well in school, there were times where I struggled, which is why I am patient and can sympathize with students looking for some help.

I have experience as a private tutor and have tutored students from grade 6 to grade 10, but would love to tutor up to college level soon. I mostly tutor math but I have also helped my students with their homework in other subjects. I have worked with students who were not motivated to learn to those who did. I understand sometimes students are not motivated or feel discouraged. I try to make the experience as fun and stress free as possible.
