As you will see from the information below, I have been involved in EFL for many years and still retain a strong commitment to the profession. I have taught at university level in Japan for many years as well as in the private language school sector. At International Language Centres in Tokyo I became Director of Studies for Business and Company courses. During this time I was involved in contract negotiations with many of the major corporations in Tokyo, such as Mitsubishi and Mitsui Bussan. I also devised and taught pre-departure courses for businessmen about to be sent to work overseas. I have also been involved in preparing students for a range of tests including TOEFL, TOEIC and the Cambridge exams.
My postgraduate degree (MPhil) and subsequent research was in the area of intercultural communication and I still retain a keen interest in this area.
