I am a passionate and driven teacher with a long career as Head of English in Ofsted-rated outstanding schools and academies.

I am an expert examiner for Edexcel marking Key Stage 2 SAT papers, for AQA marking the new GCSE specifications in English and for Edexcel marking English Language IGCSE papers. I am also a Specialist Leader of Education in the Poole area, providing coaching support for English departments in other secondary schools.

My teaching standards have been consistently rated as outstanding and whole department A* - C results from GCSE exam seasons have been above national standards at 75%, 80% and 87% consecutively.

My goal is simple – I want children to reach higher, maximising their talents to achieve the best start in life. Many adults, with the benefit of hindsight will often say the same thing; ‘I wish I had worked harder at school’. I am here to make sure that happens. The workplace is increasingly selective and every student needs to be ready to compete for the roles they want in life.

My mission is to ensure every one of my students is taught at the highest standard to improve their life chances.
