For example, unlike English has many sound linking, which makes the pronunciation of the words in sentences much different with their original sound. Most characters of Chinese only have one syllable and is pronounced one of the four tones. The sound of every character is the same whatever in words or in sentences. So compared with English, Spoken Chinese is much easier to learn.
If you just wanna learn spoken Chinese, you don’t have to think about how to write at first. Just focus on listening and speaking. After you can speak Chinese, you can learn how to write. The two parts are quite different.
